Gordon Klingenschmitt offers Katy Perry Help “To Get The Devil Out Of You” And Make Her Homophobic Again

Far-right religious activist Gordon Klingenschmitt voiced his discontent with the speech pop star Katy Perry gave in March at the Human Rights Campaign gala, in which she described her childhood in a conservative Christian environment as having been taught that “homosexuality was synonymous with the word abomination” and went to “Jesus camps” were she was encouraged to “[pray] the gay away.”

Klingenschmitt claims that she no longer believes this because she is now “ruled by Satan.”

“If you had been sincere in your prayers at the Jesus camps, you would have prayed against sin and the devil,” Klingenschmitt said during a recent episode of his “Pray In Jesus Name” show. “You would have repented of your sin and invited Jesus to rule your heart. But apparently that’s not what you prayed.”

The former Republican state legislator told Perry that he has some advice for her: “Katy Perry, you don’t just need more of your Jesus camps, more of the Bible, more of what your parents told you; you need to get the devil out of you.”
